You have all seen the movies where people try to distract the men in red uniforms posted outside a building. They have been trained to stand still, and standing stationary is what they do.
Reserved people are defined as people who have chosen to keep to themselves and hide any opinions or problems they may have with you.
This is why the men in red stand at attention without moving, regardless of what you say or do. They are taught to be reserved, but since it is a country-wide attitude, it does not take long to teach them.
2. Canadians Are Dull As Snails
Being dull means that you are a person that is mentally slow. You do not adequately respond to criticism or compliments and are not open to debating any topics.
Being dull has some bad aspects, but the worst part is that you show no signs of excitement. Nothing can make you indicate that you are delighted about something, even if you are.
Canadians have received the label of being people full of dullness. This is simply because of their attitude towards themselves and others.

Typical Canadians do not care that you are lost or have been attacked by a guy down the street. What they care about is being cold towards everyone outside their private circles.

When you are focused inwardly, you put yourself above everyone else. You always think you are the best at what you do and that others are failing miserably.
In some cultures, this is the best way to be because it will turn you into someone successful at what you do. They are good because they will do anything to achieve their desired level.
For people on the outside looking in, a country full of inward thinkers makes for a bad place because nobody will help others, and they all center their thoughts and actions solely around themselves.
5. Canadians Prefer No Eye Contact
Walking down the road in the middle of most towns, you can expect eye contact with the people you pass. You nod your head in acknowledgment and continue on your way.
You usually receive a nod back or even a muffled question about how your day is. In Canada, this is not the case at all.
You might as well join the rest of the nation in their boring attitudes by bowing your head down and walking through the streets by counting the cracks in the sidewalk.
6. Canadians Are Hard To Know
Getting to know people while traveling is one of the coolest parts of the trip for many people. When traveling through Canada, you will be hard-pressed to get to know anyone.
People in this nation are hard to talk to and even harder to get to know. You can stand in front of someone and talk, which is not truly hard. But getting their attention is.
A response that is not a standard one is impossible to get out of a Canadian until you get to know them. Since they will not let you get to know them, you might as well have a conversation with your family.
7. Canadian Citizens Are Shy
There are groups of Canadian citizens that are shy. So shy, in fact, that they will scurry away from you if you try to approach them.
If you try to talk to them, they will act like you have assaulted them with the biggest stick you could find.
Not all are this way, but you will be able to spot them from a mile away. Your best bet is to just ignore them and keep walking, which is precisely what they plan to do.
8. Serious Lack Of Places To Mingle
Having a place to mingle is part of city life that people genuinely enjoy. You can walk down the road in the downtown areas of a big city and see coffee shops and bakeries on every corner.
Canadian life is a little different. The downtown areas are not crawling, with people wanting to talk and pass the time with strangers.
In fact, if you can find a coffee shop that looks interesting, it will be one where you walk up, wait in line, get your order, and leave the building. No room for mingling at all.
9. Canadians Are Completely Routine Driven
Living life by routine is not necessarily bad, but they take it to the next level in Canada. The average citizen gets up, goes to work, the store, and then home.
Every day that they work, this is their routine. You may see them going to the store to pick something up on their days off, but then they are right back to the house.
There is no such thing as being spontaneous. Everything is planned and scheduled, and everything has to have a purpose. Everything is boring and predictable.
10. Fitting In With The Neighbors Is Everything
You may have seen “Desperate Housewives” on TV a few years back. If not, all you need to understand is that they would do anything to fit into the neighborhood.
Canadians are like those actors in the show in a way, but hopefully without the criminal sides. The one crucial thing to Canadians is that they fit into the crowd.
11. Canada Is The Land Of The Paranoid
Being paranoid is not a place in time that any of you would want to be because it makes you boring. All you want to do is stay at home where you are safe.
When you put a whole country of paranoid people together, you get a nation of people following the same daily patterns. Patterns that keep them nice and safe at home or at work.
